I would just like to share what happened during my recent trip to Davao. It's actually what happened before I got to the airport. This is not to defame anyone but to warn everyone so that this incident wont happen again.
I called the Tai Taxi base at around 930pm Sunday, July 31 to request for a pickup at 3AM the following day, Monday, August 1. The operator who answered my call is Jozel, and I specifically asked her if I can be at the airport at 330am if I leave here at 3am and she said yes. I told her where I'll be picked up, on the corner of Purok 6 and Ilaya streets in Alabang.
August 1. around 230am, I called Tai Taxi base again and asked what's the plate number of the taxi who'll pick me up. She verified if it's for 3AM pickup and I said yes. She said the plate number of the taxi is TYE 626. I asked her if the driver knows where I'll be picked up and she said yes.
245AM, the driver of TYE 626, Maqui, texted me and asked me where he'll pick me up. I was surprised since the operator told me he already knew where I'll be picked up. Nonetheles, I gave him the place and told him how to get there.
2:59AM, no sign of the taxi yet. I texted Maqui and asked him to text me if he's already at the agreed pick-up place. He replied with "ok po, wait lang po tnx".
3:05AM, I texted him again, telling him to tell me if he already got lost. He didnt replied back. 3:09 I called him and he said that he was in the men's room but is on his way. 3:13AM, I told him to text me because we'll be late. He again replied at 3:15 with a "ok po mam tnx".
3:16 I asked him where he is and told him the time. He then replied back at 3:19 and told me that he might be lost. He also texted me that we'll reach the airport by 3:30AM. I replied back and gave him specific instructions on how to go to the pickup place.
3:26 he texted me that he made a wrong turn. I texted him back to give him instructions on how to get to the pickup place from where he made the wrong turn.
3:29 he texted me he'll be there in 3 minutes.
He was able to reach the pickup place at 335.

Thailand adventure
First Step at Thailand
Arrived at NAIA past 12 noon. Texted my 2 bestbuds, si sunget, my kuya here, ana & da king, and ganda that i'll be leaving. Boarded the plane (Thai Airways flight TG 621) around 130pm. The plane took off around 230pm, a few minutes late of the scheduled departure. During the 3-hour flight, what i did is took pictures of the land and the clouds, eat, talk to my boss, eat, watch TV, watch the clouds, and went to the toilet before landing (syemps, para maexperience ko rin ang toilet sa plane, wehehehe)
We arrived 430pm, Thai time, which is 1hr late of Phil time. Ito ang nakakatakot, para kaming si Ninoy na bumababa sa tarmac pagbaba ng plane. Syempre, minus the barilan, hehehe. Buti na lang at di ako sinumpong ng lula, na alam kong patnubay ng Ama. We took a bus to the departure area. (may sira ata dun sa airport ng Thailand kaya ganun).
We arrived at Siam City Hotel, a few minutes before 6pm. Oh, before i forgot, we changed our currency at the airport. Peso to baht is .50, kakagulat, grabe. Around 630p, (Thai Time), we went to Pantip, it's a mall where IT stuff are sold. My boss asked or rather verified directions with the hotel guard on how to get there. The guard said we should turn right at the corner, but my boss said that they turned left before so we followed his memory. Kaso, nagka-amnesia ata sya kaya mali kami ng napuntahan, hehehe.. ang layo ng nalakad namin, papunta sa maling route at pabalik, papunta ulet sa tamang route. Ang sakit ng paa at hita ko grabe! Wala pa kasing tiwala sa mga taga-rito e, hehehe.. siguro mga 2km din ang nalakad namin, or more. Pareho na kaming pawisan dahil mainit ang weather d2, mas mainit pa kesa sa Pinas. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to buy what I wanted kc mahal din ang price d2, mas mahal pa pag kinonvert to peso.
We ate dinner at KFC, and took a tax back to the hotel. The flagdown here is Bt35. Arrived at the hotel a few minutes before 10pm, pinas time. Finished accounting the day's events a few minutes before 11pm, pinas time.
Sorry if I confuse you with time zones, i still didnt adjust my watch to Thai time. Breakfast tomorrowat 7am, Thai time, need to be on the way to the office at 8am, Thai time. Gudnyt blog

an excerpt to my kuya's email...
kahapon, friday e nagpunta kami sa dingalan, nueva ecija.. dun kami sa me ilog na me kweba.. di ko lang alam yung name ng place, hehehe.. kasama namin boss ko.. bale parang family outing nila yun tapos sinama kami, hehehe.. di ko nga alam kung yun na ang company outing namin e.. ang balak kc e sa subic sa may 1 pa.. eniweys, enjoy ang ilog, grabe! first tym ko makaligo sa ilog e, kaya excited ako, hehehe.. mas masarap maligo sa ilog kesa sa beach o dagat, hehehe.. kc nde mahapdi yung tubig sa mata.. saka grabe, ang lakas ng alon dun, kaya kahit mababaw lang ang tubig e matatangay ka talaga, heheh.. kaya kahit nde ako marunong lumangoy e nag-enjoy ako, kc dun lang ako sa mababaw, pahiga-higa sa tubig tapos parang minamasahe ka ng alon then natatangay ka na pala, hehehe... para nga akong litsong butiki e, di kc ako umaalis sa tubig kung nde pa kakain, nyeheheh kaya lang, ang sakit ng katawan ko, grabe! dapat nga e sched ko ng dentist ngayon e nde ako nakapunta.. super sakit kc ng mga braso ko e.. at super pagod kaya late na ako nagising..actually e halos kagigising ko lang ngayon, hehehe pano ba naman, umakyat kami sa bundok e nde ko naman talaga gawain yun.. super malululain nga ako e.. kaya lang, no choice, kasi dapat e pupunta kami sa cave kaso bago ka makarating dun e malayo-layo pa pala dun sa pinag-camp-ingan namin so sakay kami ng balsa, kaya lang, yung narent naming balsa e maliit lang kaya natatangay ng alon.. kaya ayun. akyat kami sa bundok.. actually, dapat e kunti lang yung aakyatin, kaso iniwan kami ng balsa, waaaaah... di ata nagkaintindihan yung nagsasagwan sa balsa at yung boss ko.. kaya ang sasakit ng katawan namin, huhuhu.. pero oks lang, enjoy, heheh.. hiya nga ako sa boss ko e, super alalay sa akin at talagang nde ako pinababayaan kc super takot nga ako dun dahil mataas e nde ako iniiwan.. tapos, grabe, yung mga taga dun e parang naglalakad lang sa patag ng umaakyat sa bundok! kakabilib talaga! pag-uwi naman namin e super hirap sumakay, kunti lang kc ang nagbibyaheng bus dahil byernes santo nga... kaya standing ovation ako from san ildefonso to camachile, hehehe.. oks lang din, sabi nga ng boss ko e "charge to experience" heheh
