Last Thursday, November 29, Trillanes, together with his other supporters, went to Manila Peninsula to cool down (accdg to Going Bulilit, hehehe). That incident prompted our COO to suspend work just right after lunch. so of I went, and watched "Enchanted" at Festival Mall. The movie was cool, my mom wanted to watch it after I told her the story. I'm hoping I can grab a DVD of it, or better, if we can still catch it in theaters.

As was the tradition in our company, every last working day of the month, they held a lunch party. This we treat as a substitute to the 1k food allowance they removed. Usually, we have 4 viands, rice, and soft drinks. These viands may consist of 1 spaghetti noodles. But last Thursday, they only have 2 viands for us, and 1 of this is the rubber-like lumpiang shanghai. Lucky for me I have brought my lunch baon.

Reporters covering the Manila Peninsula incident was also handcuffed using straws and taken into custody for identity verification. This also resulted in a one-instance curfew from 12mn to 5am. Now, these media men are the ones suing those who arrested them. Well, life's like that. Gantihan lang yan, hehehe

one weak week

i was sick for 1 week last week, and i still don't know what caused it. i'm now well, but feeling very thin. and i got to take it easy eating, even if i want to gain weight again, it might cause other problems.

i was browsing through friendster and found the pic i'm looking for. i wasn't expecting to miss him but i suddenly did :( i'm moving away from him now, giving myself space before i'll be hurt more than i can handle.

my mom had her eye operation for cataract removal. the operation was called lens replacement, done by Dr. Emmanuel Eusebio (Erap's eye doctor). wala akong commission sa pagpa-plug ha, hehehe :D her left eye was operated last oct. 13, then after a week, her right eye was operated last oct 19. all in all, the operation was successful, salamat sa Dios :) she now has a 20-20 vision, but still needs reading glasses for reading (syempre, hehehe). luckily, naagapan yung eyes nya. sabi ng doctor, muntik na syang magka-glaucoma. pero dahil sa operation, nacorrect na din ito :)

bisperas ng birthday ko ang parang "day gift" sa akin, hehehe. 2hrs kaming nagbonding, with a mild panunukso from our p.d. this wasn't the first 2-hr bonding we had, and at both times, parang ayaw nyang matapos ito. (or yun lang pakiramdam ko?)

my question is.... what makes a guy decide to court a girl? may nagsasabing a guy needs signs or encouragement from a girl before he courts her. pero i think i had given such signals (or kulang pa ba? or masyadong sumobra?). for instance, he used to ask me abt my lovelife. then i remembered that i have a pic of him in my cell, so i asked him if he wants to see my bf, and showed his pic, hehehe. i constantly call him "magandang lalake from iloilo south" which i know makes him smile. i also gave him a wallpaper pic of his "dada". when this was seen by a common friend, he teased us. hmmm.. pwede bang palakad sa yo, common frend? hehehe.. anyways, i really enjoy his company, and i think he enjoys my company too. i just wish we'll have more chance to bond and get to know each other better.

just when i had made up my mind to forget you, here you come knocking on my doorsteps

company rants...

after a long time, i found the company where i feel comfortable in. i love my work, i'm still learning a lot from it. i love my boss, we get along really well. i love my colleagues. it may not be a bed of roses but nothing's perfect, right? until i found out that our company hasn't been remitting our sss contributions for over a year. well, they said they are remitting them but unfortunately, they're not reflected in our contributions, due to some sss problems, but the company is duly paying them. excuses. fortunately, one of the cs peepz took the initiative to fix what the sss problem, and our contributions are now updated till march, 2007. why only march? because the grateful and nonsense hr felt that the cs peep has done something wrong, because she's the one being thanked at and not her, the hr. then, came philhealth contributions. most of my colleagues worked here as their first company and therefore has no philhealth numbers yet. the resourceful hr has given out philhealth forms a dozen times already, because she's forever losing them, and therefore can't request for a philhealth number for my colleagues. and those of us that already have philhealth numbers? well, she doesn't know who has and hasn't, thinking that we're only around 50 employees here. then came the demoralizing performance evaluation. so now, what step should i take next?

dilemma over

election gimik

Noong lunes, May 14, pagkatapos ng pagboto, ay nagpunta kami ng aking ina sa SM Megamall. Medyo nag-aalangan pa ako nung simula dahil baka mapagod sya sa byahe. May kalayuan din ang SM Megamall kung san kami nakatira. Ngunit tumuloy na kami dahil yun lang ang maluwag na araw na makakagala kami at hindi masyadong magmamadali pag-uwi. Naglunch kami sa Tong Yang, na inakala namin parehong nagseserve ng lutong pagkain. Yun pala, kami ang pipili ng ingredients at kami ang magluluto. Akala ko ay hindi kami mag-eenjoy, ngunit sa sobrang kabusugan e hindi na kami naghapunan kinagabihan, hehehe. Habang nag-iikot sa SM Megamall ay nagkataong nandun din ang aking bestfrend at ang kanyang kabiyak. Kaya, pagkatapos ng 5yrs ng aming pagiging magkaibigan e nagkita din ang aking ina at ang aking kaibigan in person :)

Nung pauwi na kami, nakasalubong din namin ang isa pang kaibigan ko sa AsCII na matagal ko ng hindi nakikita. Kasama rin nya ang kanyang better half, kaya akin din syang nakilala :)

Sa kabuuan ay naging masaya at payapa ang araw na ito, bagama't nakakapagod. Nakabili na rin ako ng violin at sana ay matutuhan ko itong tugtugin ng mabuti :)

I was one of the many who watched Spiderman 3 on its first day of showing. In fact, I belong to the second batch who watched it. I was eager to catch the closing statements of the story, and luckily, had found this on the net.

"Whatever comes our way, whatever battle is raging inside us, we always have a choice. It's the choices that make us what we are, and we can always choose to do the right thing."

This reminds me of what my minister friend told me on one of our talks. God won't make the choice for us, He'll give us options and it's for us to decide which to choose.

APE result

last March 13, i had my APE, and got the result last week. it says there that im just 4lbs underweight, o divah? ang saya saya :D

tuwing linggo, ang mga una kong ginagawa sa umaga ay dumalo sa pagtitipon ng 545am, at bumili ng pancit para sa almusal pauwi. noong march 25 ay nakalimutan kong wala palang pera ang bag ko. naaalala ko lang na wala pala akong perang pambili ng pancit noong palabas na ako. chineck ko pa ang bag ko dahil alam kong may mga barya akong naiiwan dun, nguni't P4 na lang pala ang naiwan. hinanap ko ang isa sa aking mga ate upang makahiram ng P10 pambili ng pancit. nguni't sya pala ay maysakit kaya wala ng pagkakataong iyon. tinry ko ring pumunta sa likod kung may makikita akong pwedeng mahiraman. natatawa ako, kasi sa halagang P10, para akong natutuliro at walang mahiraman, hehehe. dahil kilala naman namin ang may ari ng tindahan, nagsabi na lang ako na kung pwede ay pautang ng pancit at sa hapon ko na lang babayaran. pumayag naman, nakakatawa pa nga, naabutan ko syang nagsisilid ng pancit sa plastic, e yun na ang ibinigay sa akin, instant! weheheh :D

fact or fiction?

It's been awhile since I read a book. There are times that I would have bought some books I browsed in bookstores, but the kuri side got the better of me, hehehe. recently, I'm into watching dvd kaya lalong nawala yung hilig ko sa books. or so I thought. Just recently, a friend of mine gave me a book, titled A Million Pieces, which is an autobiography of James Frey. I'm not really into biographies or autobiographies. But since she gave it to me, I started reading it. It's easy reading, as she had said, and I'm now 70% done reading the book :) pag pala papipiliin ako between dvd and a book e mas pa rin ako sa book :D

Today, I tried to googling James Frey, and this is what I found out:

weekend crash

its good that my sched was moved to 10-7pm last wed. late na kami nakauwi ng tuesday, and i'll surely have a hard time waking up at 4am. anyway, ang draw back naman, kakapagod ang byahe pauwi. mas mahaba kasi ang travel time dahil may traffic na :(

last weekend, nagcrash ang million dollar server ng isang app namin (exag ang price, syempre) super kakagulat dahil super mahal nga ng bili sa server na ito. kaya weekend e namomroblema kami. naayos na rin kahapon, pero di pa rin nagagamit dahil may dapat pang gawin ang aming mga seattle partners.

Bagama' t tayo po ay isang Katoliko, lubos ho ang paghanga natin kay
Ka Erano G. Manalo na birthday nga ho ngayong araw na ito, at sa mga
kapatid natin sa Iglesia ni Cristo dahil sa disiplina nilang tunay na
dapat sana tularan natin.

Kakaiba kasi ang disiplinang pinakikita nila lalo na sa kanilang
pagsasamba na isang malaking halimbawa ng pag-rerespeto nila sa DIYOS.
Nakailang sama na tayo sa paanyaya ng ilan nating kaibigang mga INC sa
kanilang pagsasamba at hindi natin maiwasan ikumpara unang una ang
kalinisan sa loob ng kanilang kapilya. Ilang local na ho ang napasyalan
natin at pare-pareho ho ito.

Hindi ho kagaya ng ugali nating mga Katoliko na kanyang kanyang
puwesto na kadalasan tuloy ay naiiwang bakante ang maraming silya sa
gitna, sa mga kapatid ho natin sa INC ay pupunuin ang bawat silya mula
sa harap hanggang makarating sa likod.

Wala rin hong social status ang sistema ng kanilang pag-okupa at first
come first serve lahat. Kahit sino ka man, kahit sikat ka, walang
reservation at kung mahuhuli ka ay sa likod ka uupo.

Bawal rin sa kanila ang mga damit na masyadong maiksi na suot minsan

aaminin nating nakakadistract ng attention. Hiwalay rin ho ang puwesto
ng mga babae at lalaki at walang batang nagtatakbo sa loob na mistulang

Ang mga song book nila ay nakalagay sa kaliwang bahagi ng mahabang
bangko at isa isang kinukuha at pagkatapos ng kanilang pagsasamba ay isa
isa rin nilang binabalik. Kung ginagalang ho kasi natin ang PANGINOON
bakit natin kinakalat na lamang ang mga misalette o anumang papel sa
simbahan na napakarumi tingnan.

Wala rin hong nag-bubulungan sa kanila habang sumasamba at lalong
walang kalabitan na madalas ring gawin ng ilan nating mga kasamahan sa
simbahang Katoliko.

Ultimo sa katapusan ng kanilang pagsasamba, row by row silang
lumalabas at hindi nagkakagulo at naguunahan. Muli lang natin naalala
ito lalo na nung panahon ng holidays kung saan dumalaw naman tayo sa
ilang simbahan upang magpasalamat sa PANGINOON sa lahat ng biyayang
nakukuha natin. Lahat ho tayo ay dapat mag-count ng blessings natin na
bigay sa atin ng DIYOS.

Tunay na kahanga hanga at karapat dapat tularan hindi lamang sa paraan
ng pagsasamba o pagsisimba kung hindi sa lahat ng antas ng lipunan dahil
isa sa pinakamalaking suliraning kinakaharap natin ngayon ay ang
kakulangan sa disiplina at palakasan system na laganap.

At komo unang column natin ito ngayong taong 2007, sana kahit sa
maliit na paraan ay maantig natin ang ating mga kababayan at ma-adopt
natin ang disiplinang pinaiiral ng mga INC upang kahit paano naman ay
maibsan ang problema ng bayan.

lucky wallet, lucky me

i have heard from my officemates' conversation before na ang wallet, pag naiwan mo sa bahay e babalikan at babalikan mo, di tulad ng cellphone. well, not in my case. di ko alam na naiwan ko wallet ko, and my mom just texted me na naiwan ko nga so that di ako maghahanap. nasa bus na ako ng tingnan ko ang cell ko. yung pamasahe ko e nasa coin purse ko naman na dala ko, so ok lang. kala ko e mangungutang ako sa ofc para makapagmerienda at makauwi. pero lucky for me, yung isang officemate ko na nagpabili ng dvd e binayaran nya kanina yung dvd. kaya heto, may pangmerienda at pamasahe na ako pauwi :D

taon ng kasalan

i cant remember if it was 2004 or 2005, pero ang dami kong friends at kakilala na nagpakasal that year. ngayon e nandito na namang muli ang taong iyon. at ang isa sa mga mahirap na part jan, para sa akin, ay ang kunin akong abay. hindi kasi ako at ease, kaya naman lahat ng nag-aalok ay tinatanggihan ko. wag lang sana sumama ang loob. noon ngang kasal ng kapatid ko ay ilang linggo na lang bago ang kanyang kasal nung napapayag nila ako. kaya sana ay maintindihan nyo ako. to my friends who are getting married, i can help you in the preparation, pero wag na lang ako gawin abay, okie? ;)

saberdey hang over

after the ascii meeting last saturday, we went to farmers to have lunch. mga 1230 na kami nakaalis ng hq dahil nawili pa sa pagkukuwentuhan. pagdating namin ng farmers e wala ng available parking. nakarating na kami sa gateway, ali mall, at shopwise e wala pa rin. bumagsak kami sa may edsa bago mag-santolan flyover northbound. may german resto dun at dahil may parking sya at gutom na kami e dun na kami kumain. ang siste, mukhang yun ata yung tinutukoy ng kantang nasa ibaba. past 230 na naiserve sa amin ang out of this world dahil sa di mo ma-take na food. lucky for the resto at di ko kinunan ng pic yung name nila.. sheeesssh...

nangangayayat ang palaka

its just a few days after 2007 and mejo marami ng events ang nangyayari dito sa ofc. first working day was jan 2, tuesday. sick leave ang beauty ko, nasobrahan ata ng kain kahapon. wednesday, jan 3, before lunch ay may inikot na memo sa amin. tinanggal ang 2k allowance namin :( ang mga nasa call center ay tinanggal din ang 10% increase sa night differential nila. jan 5, friday, may isa na namang tinanggal sa amin.. haaay naku.. ano ba ang nangyayari sa palaka? at di pa rin ayos ang sss namin, e kelangan ko pang magloan. haaay life... btw, i'll be celebrating my first anniv here tomorrow.. hanggang ilang anniv kaya?

due to stress and pressures, my old wacky self became serious later part of last year, and i miss it the wacky me. so now, i'll try to always be cheerful no matter what :D
