Quotable Quotes
this is an inspiring one
"Aim for success not perfection... Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism. Confronting your fears and allowing yourself the right to be human can, paradoxically, make you a far happier and more productive person."
Dr. David Burns
this made me laugh..
"I never make mistakes. I thought I did once, but I was wrong."

a very inspiring email i got from ivy, thanks very much sis :)
PRAISE GOD FOR THE CLOSED DOORS
We need to learn to thank the Lord for closed doors as we do an open door.
The reason God closes doors is because He has not prepared anything over there for us. If he didn't close the wrong door we would never find our way to the right door. Even when we don't realize it, God directs our paths through the closing and opening of doors.
When one door closes, it forces us to change our course. Another door closes, it forces us to change our course yet again. Then finally, we find the open door and walk right into our blessing. But instead of praising God for the closed door (which kept our butt out of trouble), we get upset because we "judge by the appearances." And in our own arrogance, or ignorance, we insist that we know what is right.
We have a very present help in the time of need who is always standing guard. Because He walks ahead of us, He can see trouble down the road and HE sets up road blocks and detours accordingly. But through our lack of wisdom we try to tear down the roadblocks or push aside the detour signs.
Then the minute we get into trouble, we start crying "Lord how could this happen to me?"
We have got to realize that the closed door was a blessing. Didn't He say that "No good thing will He withhold from them that love him?"
If you get terminated from your job - don't be down, instead thank God for the new opportunities that will manifest themselves - it might be a better job, or an opportunity to go to school.
If that man or woman won't return your call - it might not be them, it might be the Lord setting up a roadblock (just let it go).
One time a person had a bank he had been doing business with for many years tell him "NO" for a $10,000 loan. The Lord led him to call another bank. That bank approved a $40,000 loan for him at a lower interest rate
than his own bank had advertised.
I'm so grateful, for the many times God has closed doors to me, just to open them in the most unexpected places.
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way." - Psalm 37:23.
The Mountain top is glorious, but it is in the Valley that I will grow!
Always Remember God gives you . . .
Enough Happiness to keep you Sweet
Enough Trials to keep you Strong Enough
Enough Sorrows to keep you Human
Enough Hope to keep you Happy
Enough Failure to keep you Humble
Enough Success to keep you Eager
Enough Friends to give you Comfort
Enough Wealth to meet your Needs
Enough Enthusiasim to make you look Forward
Enough Faith to banish depression, and
Enough Determination to make each day a better day than the last
Life must be lived forward ... but can only be understood backwards ...

just want to share an inspiring email i received about work and us, workers
WORK and YOU
FIRST:
Don't get the idea that you are ATLAS, carrying the world on your shoulder. The world would go on even without you. Don't take yourself so seriously.
SECOND:
Tell yourself that you like your work. Then it will become a pleasure, not a drudgery. Perhaps you do not need to change your job. Change yourself, and your work will seem different.
THIRD:
Plan your work-work your plan. Lack of system produces that "I'm swamped" feeling.
FOURTH:
Don't try to do everything at once. That is why time is spread out. Operate on what wise advice from the BIBLE. "This one thing I do". (One part at a time, we can accomplish any goal set for ourselves. Today, I will do one small task that will contribute toward the achievement of a life goal.)
FIFTH:
Get a correct mental attitude. Think a job is hard and you will make it hard. Think it easy, and it will tend to become so.
SIXTH:
Become an expert in your work. It is always easier to do a thing right.
SEVENTH:
Practice being relaxed. Easy always does it. Don't press or strain.
EIGHTH:
Do not put off until tomorrow that you can do today. It only makes tomorrow's job harder. It piles up on you. Keep your work on schedule.
NINTH:
At the start of everyday, PRAY about your work. You will get some of your best ideas that way.
TENTH:
Take along your "UNSEEN PARTNERS". It is surprising the load He will take off you. GOD is as much home in offices and shops as in churches. He knows more about your business than you do....

How Did You Know
INTRO
I remember so well
The day that you came into my life
You asked for my name
You had the most beautiful smile
My life started to change
I'd wake up each day feeling alright
With you right by my side
Makes me feel things will work out just fine
CHORUS
How did you know
I needed someone like you in my life
That there's an empty space in my heart
You came at the right time in my life
I'll never forget
How you brought the sun to shine in my life
And took all the worries and fears that I had
I guess what I'm really trying to say
It's not everyday that someone like you comes my way
No words can express how much I love you
Repeat Chorus

this is a song i heard when i woke up this morning, and somehow, reflects my outlook in life
Smile
Rod Stewart
Smile
Though your heart is aching
Smile
Even though it's breaking
When there are clouds
In the sky,
You'll get by
If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile
And maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun
Come shining through
For you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear
May be ever so near
That's the time
You must keep on trying
Smile
What's the use of crying?
You'll find that life
Is still worth-while
If you just smile
Smile
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear
May be ever so near
That's the time
You must keep on trying
Smile,
What's the use of crying?
You'll find that life
Is still worth-while
If you just smile
Keep on smiling
Oh yeah
Smile
Never, never, never stop smile
Smile

In LIFE, LOVE is NEVER planned nor does it happen for a reason.
But when the LOVE is REAL, it becomes your PLAN for LIFE and your REASON for LIVING!
ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. one of the reasons why i fell for him, one of the characteristics i look for in a friend, moreso in a life partner
THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
FOUR. When you say, "I love you", mean it. love truly, nde yung seasonal lang
FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.
SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much
NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. amen
TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.
TWELVE. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, ask them "Why do you wanna know?"
THIRTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements are the greatest successes of life.
FOURTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
FIFTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson. something like forgive but dont forget the lesson it taught you
SIXTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions. trust and respect is the foundation of a strong relationship
SEVENTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship. hmmm...is what happened between us under this "little dispute" category?
EIGHTEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. if you can't correct it, be responsible for it and learn from it
NINETEEN. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice. i'll try to remember this, something like what my kuya told me, 'you are never fully dressed until you wear a smile
TWENTY. Spend some time alone. and meditate on things so you won't get lost in the crowd of life

Jaguar
A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar.
He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.
As his car passed, no children appeared.
Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!
He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.
The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing?
That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?"
The young boy was apologetic.
"Please, mister...please , I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.
"It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."
Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat.
He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts.
A quick look told him everything was going to be okay..
"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.
Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.
It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar.
The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"
God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us.
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

from ivy's email
To Whom It may concern:
There is a difference between being
an acquiantance and being a friend.
First, an acquaintance is someone whose name
you know, whom you see every now
and then, with whom you probably have
something in common, and around whom
you feel comfortable.
It's a person that you can invite to your home
and share things with.
But they are people with whom you wouldn't
share your life, whose actions sometimes
you don't understand because you don't know enough
about them...
On the other hand, a friend is someone you love.
Not that you are "in love" with him or her,
but you care about the person, and you
think about him or her when they are
not there.
Friends are the people of whom you are
reminded when you see something they might
like, and you know this because you know
them so well.
They are the people whose pictures you have
and whose faces are in your head
regardless.
They are the people you see in your mind when
you hear a song on the radio because they
made you go up to the person they like and ask
them to dance with them; or maybe YOU danced
with them, maybe they stepped on your
toes, or just put their head on your shoulder.
They are the people around whom you feel safe
because you know they care about you.
They call just to see how you are doing,
because friends don't need an excuse.
They tell you the truth--the first time--
and you do the same.
You know that if you have a problem, they are
there to listen.
They are the people who won't laugh at you
or hurt you, and if they do hurt you,
they try hard to make it up to you.
They are the people you love, regardless
of whether you realize it.
They are the people with whom you cried
when you got rejected from colleges
and during the last song at prom and
at graduation.
They are the people that when you hug them,
you don't think about how long to hug
and who's going to be the first one to let go.
Maybe they are the people that hold the rings
at your wedding, or maybe they are
the people that give you away at your
wedding, or maybe they are the people
you marry.
They are the people who cry
your wedding because they are happy,
or because they are proud, or because
they are so in love.
They are the people who stop you from
making mistakes and help you when
you do.
They are the people whose hand you
can hold, or you can hug or give them
a kiss and not have it be awkward,
because they understand the things you
do and they love you for them.
They stick with you and stand by you.
They hold your hand.
They watch you live, and you watch them
live, and you learn from them.
Your life is not the same without them.
These are your friends.
How many do you have?
* This is not a chain letter, this is from the heart.
Send it to the people who are your friends,
who used to be your friends,
who need friends,
or just those people who need something

Description:
Liu Die Yu has discovered a vulnerability in Internet Explorer, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to conduct phishing attacks against a user.
The vulnerability is caused due to Internet Explorer failing to update the address bar after a sequence of actions has been performed on a named window. This can be exploited to display content from a malicious site while displaying the URL of a trusted site in the address bar.
The vulnerability has been confirmed on a fully patched system with Internet Explorer 6 running on Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 / Microsoft Windows XP SP1.
Previous versions of Internet Explorer may also be affected.
Secunia has developed a demonstration of the vulnerability, which may be found here:

got this from an email, this is so true
Did you know ???
Did you know that when you envy someone, it's because you really like that person?
Did you know that those who appear to be very strong in heart, are real weaklings and most susceptible?
Did you know that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones who really need someone to protect them?
Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are : I love you,Sorry and Help me. The people who say these are those who actually need them or really feel them, and they are the ones you really need to be treasured, because they have said it them.
Did you know that people who occupy themselves by keeping others company or helping others are the ones who actually need your company and help?
Did you know that those who dress in red are more confident in themselves?
Did you know that those who dress in yellow are those that enjoy thier beauty?
Did you know that those who dress in black, are those who want to be unnoticed and need your help and understanding?
Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds?
Did you know that those who need more of you are those who did not mention it to you?
Did you know that it's easier to say what you feel in writting than saying it to someone in the face? But did you know that it has more value when you say it in the face?
Did you know that what is most difficult for you to say or do is much more valuable than anything that is valuable that you can buy with money?
Did you know that if you ask for something in faith, your wishes are granted?
Did you know that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith, and if you really knew, you'd be surprised by what you could do.

allow me to rant
geez.. i hate my cell provider (sun cellular).. pano ba naman, nagbago sila ng billing policy without notifying their subscribers tapos yung credit limit e total of two months usage (running and outstanding bill) at nde one month lang. pero yung mga free txt msgs e di naman nila ibabawas sa running bill, o di ba over-charging yun? naputulan ako just last week ng line, my bill was just P700+ which was due on aug.
