Fare Rollback, bakit di ginagawa ng mga PUJ at PUB?

Fare rollback effective Wednesday

MANILA -- The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) gave Tuesday the go-signal to implement the long-awaited fare rollback.

“Starting Wednesday, the fare for jeepneys is P8 for the first four kilometers from the present P8.50 and P9 from P10 for ordinary buses for the first five kilometers,” said LTFRB Chairman Thompson Lantion.

papunta akong makati kahapon sa isang interview ng di kawasa'y bumuhos ang super lakas na ulan. zero visibility na nga, buti na lang at di ako ang nagmamaneho. pagdating sa bababaan ko ay pwede ng magswimming sa taas ng baha. hanggang tuhod ang baha at ang ibang mga sasakyan ay nagsisibalikan na dahil di na sia makakadaan pa. awa ng Dios, nakarating naman ako ng payapa, at ang tanging basa lang ay ang aking sapatos at paa (nakasandals naman kasi ako). inabot nga lang ng kulang kulang 3 oras ang biyahe ko na dapat sana'y wala pang isang oras. dumating ako ng pasado alas-tres sa aking pupuntahan na kung saan alas-dos ang aming usapan.

well, ganito talaga ang buhay. nakauwi naman ako ng matiwasay kahit na mejo mahirap sumakay. sayang nga lang, di ko dala ang camera ko para nakunan ko sana ng larawan ang mga kalyeng aming nadaanan.

Last Thursday, November 29, Trillanes, together with his other supporters, went to Manila Peninsula to cool down (accdg to Going Bulilit, hehehe). That incident prompted our COO to suspend work just right after lunch. so of I went, and watched "Enchanted" at Festival Mall. The movie was cool, my mom wanted to watch it after I told her the story. I'm hoping I can grab a DVD of it, or better, if we can still catch it in theaters.

As was the tradition in our company, every last working day of the month, they held a lunch party. This we treat as a substitute to the 1k food allowance they removed. Usually, we have 4 viands, rice, and soft drinks. These viands may consist of 1 spaghetti noodles. But last Thursday, they only have 2 viands for us, and 1 of this is the rubber-like lumpiang shanghai. Lucky for me I have brought my lunch baon.

Reporters covering the Manila Peninsula incident was also handcuffed using straws and taken into custody for identity verification. This also resulted in a one-instance curfew from 12mn to 5am. Now, these media men are the ones suing those who arrested them. Well, life's like that. Gantihan lang yan, hehehe
